UPDATE as of Nov 9, 2025 - How You Can Best Help Walpole Community Food Pantry
Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen an incredible outpouring of kindness from our community. Many of you have reached out to offer your time, run food drives, or ask what’s most needed at the Walpole Community Food Pantry. It’s truly heartwarming to see such strong support for our neighbors in need.
What may surprise some is that the best way to help right now is through financial donations. Here’s why:
The vast majority of our food comes free of charge from Greater Boston Food Bank.
However, our operating expenses are not free. Rent, utilities, insurance, packaging, vehicle maintenance, and other essential costs are all covered entirely by donations from individuals and organizations. We are a 100% volunteer organization and all financial donations go directly to expenses to support our mission.
In recent years, we’ve struggled to meet these financial obligations — even while food supplies and volunteer help have remained strong.
Simply put, monetary donations keep our doors open and allow us to continue serving families in need week after week. You can learn more about how to donate by going to www.wcfp.org/donate-now.
If you’re still interested in organizing a collection, we gratefully suggest focusing on toilet paper and paper towels. These are essential items that we must purchase and are always in high demand.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and commitment to helping our community. Your support inspires and motivates Walpole Community Food Pantry to continue its mission of feeding hope and nourishing our neighbors.

Helping your neighbors is good for everyone
When you donate food, your time, or money you are helping those in your community who need it the most. The food and household items that are distributed give your neighbors access to basic human necessities regardless of their personal circumstances.
